Ski Resorts:

Sylvania Lodge is conveniently located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands, 1 mile from Hidden Valley Resort, and just a few miles from Seven Springs Resort, the largest 4 season resort in Pennsylvania.  Both resorts feature downhill skiing and golf, and a wide variety of additional activities year round. The Wright Stuff:

Parks:

From the Lodge, one can walk to beautiful Kooser State Park, with it’s lake, sandy beach swim area, picnic area, and winter cross country skiing. The largest restaurant on the mountain, complete with après ski lounge, is within an easy walk from the lodge. A large deck provides outdoor dining during summer months.

Fun for Kids:

Hiking:

A multititude of options exist in the area including the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail:. The PA 31 parking area and shelter for access to this 70 mile backpacking trail located just down the road from the lodge.

 

 

Fishing:

Fishing opportunities abound in the immediate area, and  is permitted in Kooser Run, the Class A trout stream through the property.

 

 

Biking:

The area has a wide array of designated biking trails. The Allegheny Passage, a 100 mile rails-to-trails path now completed from Pittsburgh to Maryland is located a short distance from the lodge, with bikes rented by the hour. Mountain Bikers have the mapped state forest lands, Seven Springs and Hidden Valley trails to ride singletract.

 

 

Golf:

Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the challenging 18-hole resort courses at Seven Springs and Hidden Valley along with additional private and public courses in the area.

 

 

White Water Rafting:
